Seriously considering marine studies program at uwf. my mistress is 32ft and mast height is 48. Are ther paces suitable for dockage or mooring? all responses greatly appreciated

Hello, and welcome aboard.

Take a look at the subforum here on marinas, there are two marinas that are really really close to UWF... and they both allow liveaboards.

Smith's fish camp is probably the only one that your mast is going to let you get into. Last I checked they were a flat $150 a month for a slip... power was extra. The facilities are 'primitive' but workable, and given that most of the marinas in the area are going to be quite a bit more and farther away it might be worth looking into.

What do you draw?

Tough to know what might have been going on... you can not get under the bridge to get to 'Swamp House' with a 49' stick, so smith's would be the only shot there next to the school. The next closest marinas would all be downtown or Bayou Chico... and quite a bit more money (anyone else feel free to chime in here).

I have a lot on my plate right now, but if you want to PM me a good cell phone number, I will try to stop by there and get either a good phone number or have them call you while I am there. It is rather 'rural' but close enough that you could ride a bicycle to school if you were so inclined.

Let me know.
