Has anyone recently anchored in Destin harbor? Any restrictions, problems? Pumpout stations? Also anyplace to tie the dinghy up and go ashore?

How about a month late response. They are setting up to dredge the opening of the harbor, so be careful. The place use to be a no discharge zone. I would assume there are pump out stations where you can get fuel with all the fishing boats and tour boats. I have not stayed there enough that it became a problem. The anchorage is inside about 1/8th mile just past the first condos to the south. Depth varies. You are across from the party bars. Even with there plastic enclosures they can be noisy. I prefer to go on down about a mile to the east where the tour schooners more and anchor. nice and quiet. I have never had anyone complain about tying up my dingy at a pier by a bar or eatery if we were going to spend money. I have even been able to tie the boat up at some of the nicer places on the east end. Enjoy it is a great place to spend some time.

Thanks for the response. Sounds like a good destination. Maybe we can get up a group and have a raft up down there some time.
